Action for Kids is a private practice, owned and operated by a speech language pathologist. At Action for Kids we specialize in pediatric ST, OT, and PT and Developmental Therapy. We were incorporated in 1995 and employ approximately 50 therapists. We offer a variety of services and delivery settings.

We have; two outpatient clinics (Naperville and Shorewood, Illinois), we also provide services in the child's home and have full and part time contracts available with local school districts.

Therapists at Action for Kids have the flexibility to choose a setting and a caseload that blends well with their busy family and personal lifestyle. For example some therapists want to work "in-clinic" only, some want to do home care only, some want a combination of both and some therapists also do 1 or 2 days in the school and then spend the other three days in the clinic. Therapists manage their own schedules and may work any combinations of days during the week. We have many therapists that choose to work four 10 hour days and have Friday off or some that want to work only 30 hours a week over a 3-4 day period, etc. These are just some examples of caseload management.

We know that today's lifestyles are hectic and that's why we work with each therapist to help them develop a schedule that will allow them to spend their time off in the way they choose and choose a work setting in which they feel the most comfortable.

As staffing needs change we may have a variety of openings including full or par time. Supervisory positions may also be available for candidates with at least 3 years of experience and we are always interested in talking with professionals who have an area of specialization such as feeding, sensory integration, etc.
